How do you setup and maintain undergraduate maker spaces?

While most of the goals above relate to our relatively new Maker Space, enlisting mentors, both community and student, is essential to a thriving ecosystem. A shining Maker Space is a good calling card.

Students new to a makerspace face an intimidating learning curve, and this can discourage participation. Getting students up to speed with basic skills, especially those that are inherently safe and engaging will be necessary to grow the maker culture (beyond the hardcore devotees) at any institution.

Increase engagement between students and community run makerspace members to foster greater participation by students in this off-campus resource.
